About this beta
StocksBob provides a personal account dashboard. The beta lets you sign in, save risk preferences, and, if available, connect your own Alpaca account to view balances, positions, and recent orders. New-user brokerage access is read only. Saving preferences or connecting an account does not authorize StocksBob to place, change, or cancel orders for you.
Your account
Registration is intended for adults at least 18 years old. The birth date entered during registration is self-reported; StocksBob has not independently verified age or identity. Give accurate information, use only an account you control, and protect your password, authenticator, recovery codes, and linked provider accounts. Do not share access or attempt to open another person’s account.
Outside services
Google or Apple sign-in, email delivery through Resend, and Alpaca Connect or API-key portfolio connections are available only if separately configured. Each provider has its own terms. Linking Alpaca is optional. While Alpaca login is unavailable, you may explicitly choose to enter your own paper or live API key and secret in the signed-in account dashboard. API keys may permit trading at Alpaca; StocksBob uses this connection only to read your portfolio and does not enable orders. Disconnect removes the saved active credentials; revoke the key or app separately in Alpaca to end its provider access.
Research and trading risk
Market research, prices, account displays, and risk settings are informational. They may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. Check balances, positions, orders, and prices with your broker before making a decision. StocksBob does not promise returns or that a strategy suits your circumstances. Investing can result in loss of capital. The separate owner trading system is not part of the new-user beta.
Availability and changes
This beta may be interrupted or changed while it is tested. A future trading feature would require separate controls and authorization; these terms do not enable it. The current version and effective date appear above. For questions about these terms, contact [email protected].
